45 and 103 Filomuro Frames

  • Filomuro 45 frames have a 45mm profile and are suitable for installation into any thickness of wall and are fixed on the wall side receiving the flush face of the door. 
  • Filomuro 103 frames are suitable for installation in walls up to a maximum of 240mm.  Frame supplied at 103mm wide + specified frame extension to suit wall thickness.  Frames are fitted in a similar manner to traditional wooden frames and are quicker to fit than the Filomuro 45

FAQ's - Installation

  • The fitting of your Filomuro frame into blockwork or terracotta block depends on which Filomuro frame you are fitting.

  • Detailed fitting instructions will be provided with your Filomuro 45 frame or 103 frame

  • Both Filomuro 45 and 103 frames are screw fixed into studwork walls prior to the wall being plaster boarded.
  • Detailed fitting instructions will be provided with your Filomuro 45 frame or 103 frameMoore 
  • Moore also offer a fitting service - ask for a quote
  • Moore and Moore offer installer training either on site or at our Birmingham Showroom
  • No need - all doors come complete with factory fitted lock or lock latch included in the price. 
  • Door handles are not included in the price - handles are fitted as you would to a traditional door
  • You can supply your own handles or purchase Garofoli handles with your doors
  • Filomuro door frames are fitted before the plasterer.  
  • Frame supplied with template for fixing §  Frame only available in 2- 3 weeks from order confirmation for plastering in

FAQ's – Frameless Doors

  •  In English Filomuro means a “flush door” 
  •  Door appears to have no frame when fitted
  •  Also known as ‘Secret’,  architraveless or frameless door
  • Minimal look making doors less visible if required
  • Door can be decorated and papered or pre-finished to match wall or to create aesthetic contrast with wall
  • Door can be covered with panelling (Boiserie) to match Garofoli panelled walls
  • The door is flush with the wall on the outside even when the door is being opened  through the frame into the room
  • The door frame has no architraves 
  • The aluminium door frame is plastered into the wall and painted the same colour as the wall
  • The door appears to have no frame when fitted
  • Hinges are engineered and concealed within the frame
  • Doors are all flush on same side of wall irrespective of whether door is opening inwards or outwards

  • Yes – where specified as fire doors Garofoli  fire doors are: 
    • Tested in their frames to EN Standards and equal or exceed British Standards. 
    •  Fire doors are FULLY TESTED to destruction as complete door sets in their frames and not ASSESSED.
    • Assessment of fire performance is NOT AN ACCEPTABLE STANDARD for Signor Fernando Garofoli (President of Garofoli)
    • All doors are CE marked
  • Yes – Filomuro doors can only be supplied  as single leaf FD60 doors
  •  Maximum over the frame  size 2435 x 1065
  • Standard widths are - 600, 650, 700, 750, 800, 900  
  • None standard made to measure sizes available at additional cost (minimum width 350mm - maximum width 1000mm)
  • Standard heights 1.950mm, 2.000mm, 2.050mm, 2.100mm

  • Available as double doors up to 2.000mm wide 
  • Fire doors only available as single doors up to 2.400mm high
  • A full height door is normally the full height of the room measured finished floor to ceiling

  • Full height doors can be specified with or without a head to the frame - without a door frame head the door is a true FULL HEIGHT door from floor to ceiling
  • Full height doors are only available as fire doors to a maximum of 2.400mm (panel size) as fire doors and must have a head to the frame

    • Un-finished basic door requires painting – all other doors are 
    • prefinished in the factory and do not require painting.
  • Doors are manufactured and engineered from a large number of different materials.  Technical composition of Garofoli doors is a closely guarded  Garofoli secret.  Garofoli invest substantial sums of money in design, research, development and testing of cutting edge designer doors.  Garofoli also maintain a highly experienced technical department who engineer and test each door design and model to ensure all doors manufactured by Garofol are of the highest quality and standard.
  • Door handles are not included in the price
  • You can either supply your own or we can supply handles of your choice with the doors from our range of Garofoli and other handles.   
  • Yes – for larger commercial orders we able to offer ex-factory prices for orders in excess of 100 doors.
  • Our quoted prices include delivery
  • For larger orders of more than 16 doors prices will be revised in line with savings gained in bulk delivery cost 
  • No – you can price your doors on-line. Please contact us - we want to ensure that you order the correct door specification for your application and so will check your order with you before putting the order into production.
  • Allow 8 weeks + 1 week for delivery from receipt of signed order and deposit, however certain doors,  flooring,  wardrobes and panelling are 3 to 5 weeks.  Call to obtain an up to date delivery estimate. 
  • Filomuro frames are available for plastering in within 10 - 14 days of order + shipping time - chosen door panels to fit into pre-fitted frames ordered at same time as frames are dispatched approximately 6 -8 weeks from date of initial order.
  • Doors and frames may also be ordered for delivery together - allow 6 - 8 weeks from confirmation of signed order
  • Yes – please contact us to discuss your project.
  • Yes – we charge for the survey but refund the charge upon receipt of order.
  • Yes –  Garofoli offer  a  3 year guarantee subject to the following:
  • GAROFOLI LETTER OF GUARANTEE     
  • The doors we produce are all signed or stamped with our logo, and are guaranteed for a period of three (3) years if the following conditions are observed: 4         
  • they are treated with the normal due care       
  • they are installed indoors, sheltered from bad weather of all kinds and protected from direct sunlight        
  • the building structure, including the floor, is dry and not subject to dampness of any kind, whatever its origin      
  • the house is well-ventilated and not unoccupied for long periods of time (this would cause a total lack of ventilation)         
  • no products apart from a soft, barely-dampened cloth are used to clean the doors, with a tiny amount of soap used to remove any greasy marks. It is worth remembering that rubbing the surface for prolonged periods, even when using a soft cloth, can cause the surface to fade slightly.        
  • The guarantee does not cover damage resulting from carelessness, improper use or rough handling of any description.
